The history of Journalism is related with the history of Nepal democracy. The professional journalism was established after the change in the political scenario of 2049. Through T.U, PU, HSEB & Non-government institution this can be completed.

Under TU, the colleges, RR, People's are running the PCL level of Journalism. The minimum 40% marks in SLC. Likewise, under TU as functional subject one can complete bachelor in journalism. Some other college affiliated to TU are also running this course of Bachelor level. PU also includes the Bachelor level in Journalism and communication.

In some Higher Secondary School under HSEB are also continuing this course. Except, these other institution in kathmandu and other cities are running these courses.
